16K Reese??

Dexter 10K & 12k Axles...........

Looking for a 5th wheel trailer and wondering what kind of hitch to get. I've heard there are some with hidden rails so there is nothing in the bed when the hitch is out. I've also seen air ride hitches but they are very pricey. What brands and types are recommended, and what capacity do I need? The trailer will probably not be over 12-13K lbs. Thanks!

Todd

The 15. 5 Superfifth hitch with Super Rails might be what you are looking for. The hitch removes completely leaving nothing in the bed. A very high quality hitch made by Pullrite. I have a Pullrite and wouldn't own anything else. Just a satisfied customer.

I also have the 15. 5K Superfifth hitch with Super Rails. I feel the same way, would not own anything else.

I have a RBW hitch and when removed there are two rails left in the bed of the of my truck. When my RBW hitch connects with my 5er hitch pin a solid bar comes across and prevents any chance of dropping my 5er on the back of the truck. I'd buy another.

I put a Reese Signature 18k in my 04. 5 3500. Not what I would call the easiest install, but a very stout hitch and high quality. Four holes are drilled in the middle of the frame web, and four 2-1/2" holes go through the bed for the "pucks". Overall very satisfied, and install would go much faster on another. (No, I'm not openly volunteering;) ).

5 TH WHEEL HITCH. tHERE ARE MANY OUT THERE THAT ARE GOOD. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T WELD OR DRILL THE FRAME. REESE MAKES A BRACKET THAT GOES AROUND THE FRAME WHICH WORKS GREAT. I THINK YOU CAN FIND IT ON THE WEB BY SEARCHING FOR VALLEY INDUSTRIES, REESE'S PARENT. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO WELD OR DRILL REFER THEM TO THE TSB PUT OUT BY DODGE THAT SAYS IF YOU WELD OR DRILL, WARRANTY ON THE FRAME IS OVER.
