I recently purchased a 5th wheel tail gate made by Husky that was advertised as a locking gate, when it arrived it did have the lock but upon very short inspection I could see that anyone could easily reach inside and unlock it with no key so really not much protection from theft. I contacted Husky by a letter but no reply from them. Dodge owners know how easy it is to remove a tailgate. A 400 hundred dollar tail gate should be secure, Huskeys is not. Anyone else have this happen to them? Thanks

I always use an 1. 5" hose clamp on the right side (Notched) swivel hinge. I have used it on a 5th wheel tailgate and on the standard tailgate. Anyone with a flat blade screw driver can undo it, but the way I turn the screw bolt down, they will have to work at it for a while. I've never had a tailgate stolen.
