I plan to purchase a 5th-wheel tailgate and am considering the ones made by Handy and by Custom Flow. I have seen the Custom Flow in person but have not seen the Handy.

1. From the manufacturer's web site photos it appears that the Custom Flow has a deeper "V" cutout. If this is true, I assume then that the Custom Flow would allow a little more leeway in hitch height when backing up to the trailer. Then again, maybe the Handy has just as deep a "V" cutout.

2. When looking in the rear view mirror, with the Custom Flow you can see through the "slats", thus giving you pretty good rear vision. Don't know if this is true with the Handy.

Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

Is one any better than the other?

Have you considered the aluminum tailgate made by Husky Liners? Well made, lightweight and a good fit.

Hi Dean... . Nice looking tailgate. It looks like the one made by J&J Enterprises. They make an all stainless steel gate that is lockable. I was going to get one and decided to keep my original tailgate for now.

I'm trying to find the member, I think in Co. who is cutting the stock tailgate and making a 5th wheel tailgate. I tried the search with no luck, can anyone help me?? TIA,

Larry
