Safe weight and height--hauling in the bed of my truck

Niagra Falls trip

My parents have a 33 Foot ALFA and it desperately needs a suspension lift. Does anyone know who can do it in the Stockton/Sacramento area?

All you need is several jacks, blocks, tools, and time. Here are the parts

Scot, I am probably openinig a can of worms, but, When I lifted my 39' Teton (read HEAVY) the factory advised me not to do an axle flip. Their comment was that the springs were not designed to support the weight that way? Plus it supposedly changes the lateral loads placed on the supporting hardware. I was advised to use blocks welded to the frame and remount the spring hangers. I am happy that I went this route, as I have noticed no adverse towing problems, and overall the job was not that costly ($100k for the coach $900. 00 for the lift). My 0. 02.

PS Many times you can't just turn the axle over because of the camber built in the axle from the factory. Can require re-welding the spring perches if they are welded. If you go with the blocks use one continuous piece of rectangular heavy wall tubing (I used 2x3") anad make sure to cap the ends.

Ron, I pulled my 36' Hitchhiker with my 96 2500 with no problems at all. About the same weight, 14,600 gvw. I installed air bags, more to help with the ride than to level the rig.

With the Dexter kit TowPro posted you don't flip the axle over, it has new spring perches for the top of the axle. I have been looking at that kit for my Next Level.
