Thinking of a US Gear overdrive,I know well the old 5 and 2speed axles worked back in the day, but I was looking for input from the Dodge World.

I like the us gear for the fwd and othe features, but not crazy about cutting cab crossmember( is this on all ext, cabs?)

TST Ceramic Clutch, other custom features.

I have the US gear Overdrive in my 1-ton 4X4 Ext cab behind the 5-speed. If you pull heavy loads often you will be pleased. Notching out the cross member

is minimal. I had a little concern too. Seems like it was just notched a bit above the transfer case where the ears of the chanell turn down.

The one thing I might do different would be add a little extra insulation between the transmission area and the floor panel. Not even sure if there is room, but would at least look at it while I had it all out. The gears are a bit louder than you might expect as the kick in and out, but you kinda get used to it.

It's a great feature in the hills and mountains, and if your running 4. 10 gears the 5-high is great at getting on down the road! :-laf
