53' Trailer Adapter Kit

Sears meter from the past

Truck left Spokane and should be at DSM in a day or so. B&W install and a few other trinkets, and then it heads to AZ:D

Jr, actually Wyoming's plate numbers are based on assessed county valuation in 1929. As a kid, I was always taught it was population, but that is in error. Several years ago, I looked into it, wondering why Sheridan County could be number 3. Here is a link to Phil Roberts's article on it.

I just caught this. Thanks for the link, I never knew! The population theory always made sense in my little corner, having spent a lot of time in Albany county (#5), Laramie County (#2), and Sublette County (#23 of 23)

Well?????

Get your truck yet?

First impressions?

No, the shipper still has it. I waited several days before calling, and got basically a "whatever, dude" type of response, and not very forthcoming with ETA. It was a week yesterday. Should be this weekend. I knew full well they were not going to drive straight down here, but I am not bowled over by their approach to customer service.

What rear end ratio in your truck? Curious about the down shifting.

3:73 (I think, I know it's not 4:10) - only option available in a SRW.

TFucli - Bummer dude. You are not the first, won't be the last that that has happened to.

To clarify, it is not beached at a rail yard, it made it to DSM, got prepped, goosenecked and accessorized, and is in the hands of a secondary shipper to haul from ID to AZ.

Well, she finally arrived this afternoonOo. My son and I laid out and cut the openings for the gooseneck and safety chain hooks in the bed mat, and installed the tailgate mat. She was dirty as heck, so a quick trip through the car wash and she's looking pretty good. Didn't do much driving, so not much in the way of impressions, except it's a bit of a hot rod around town. I was a little disappointed to find a warning from B&W saying you can't turn the ball over when not in use on the coil spring trucks, because it may contact the anti-axle-tramp snubber/damper. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks, Mike! That's my partner who parked like that LOL. I can't bark about it 'cause he's also the paymaster...

Ewww .... Short bed..... Icky.

Yeah, it's a compromise. Garage won't accommodate long bed. It's been my plan to build a good sized shop/garage, but the sour economy wiped that away. I am just glad to be in a truck again, even an icky short bed:p
