53' Trailer Adapter Kit

Sears meter from the past

Recall. There are several of them out there that will show the TCS light as a symptom.
Thanks, Sticks. I'll keep track of it and wait a while to see if anything else develops before going to a dealer. Besides the $$$, one of my primary reasons for going Tradesman was to minimize the electronic crap to go wrong. I wish I could have checked a "delete" box for 3/4 of the worthless BS they put on vehicles now.

Too much desert dust on the sensors, bring it up here for a salt bath and it will straighten right out.........:D

You're a big help!:p

Actually, I did take it camping this weekend, and had to trailer a ways up a trail to find a good site...

Another electronic anomaly has crept up. On a fairly regular basis, the radio will lock up, meaning does not respond to volume control inputs, sometime it will respond to the power button, sometimes it won't. Usually, but not always, the screen will display "Acquiring Signal" for the sat radio, even though it is playing the selected sat station.

Try the battery disconnect reboot thingy....

It corrects electrical gremlins on my '06 including the 5 second dome light and whacked out ambient air temp readings,

Cadillac forum recommends it as the first course of action when things start acting strange, they also suggest touching Pos and Neg cables together (after disconnecting from the battery) in order to drain the capacitors.

Chrysler mini van forum also recommends it, there is a situation on the fifth gen vans where the rh rear lock actuator will be working hit or miss. the reboot fixes it.

Give it a rip....

Rather than start a new thread, I dredged this one up, and figured I'd close out this truck "chapter". In anticipation of my new CTD, I have this truck sold to a private party. Cleaned out all my "stuff", no wonder she was so heavy! She'll be on her way to Tucson tomorrow.

Other than a few annoyances, and one leaky rear hub seal, I have to say it's been a darn good truck.

A friend of mine just traded his 2015 6.4 2500 on a 2019 6.4 2500. He also had really good luck with his.

I was guiding a coworker into a 2500 and a 6.4 at that, but he wind up getting a Cummins anyway :D
I guess it was the test drive in the pocono mountains. Lol.

I didn't have much chance to delve into it, but did get a quick test drive. First, where the factory exhaust on my '15 had no rumble at idle, and sounded like a hair dryer, this has just a bit of rumble to let you know someone is in the engine room. Now the biggie, the ZF 8 speed absolutely wakes up the 6.4. Always in the right gear, much better take-off in low, and snaps through the gears. The difference between this, and my 66RFE is absolutely unbelievable! My buddy is happy as can be. Sorry about the glare.

I should add that it even made the 2-1 downshift coming up my driveway with zero drama, lurching, or banging on the first try, so it's a far sight smarter than my Aisin:oops:

Like i said in other Threads going on - the 8 Gear is a game changer.
Cant wait to see that Trans in the CTD.
I can't say how much the extra two cogs helped, honestly, but the shift strategy, and quickness and decisiveness of the shifts, and overall operation are a quantum leap.
