6.7 68rfe HP ratings '07&'08

... . getting ready to look at a new truck,i'm going with the 6. 7 68rfe,but i'm wondering what the difference is in stock HP and torque ratings between the two model years?? anyone know???? i'm probably going with a '07 model... ... tom

whats the deal guys???where 6. 7 EVER available with 325hp/vs the now 350hp version???? I need to be able to determine EXACTLY HOW , if its because of transmission option,stick vs. auto, or build date,etc.

i'm going to the dealer tomorrow,and would like to know what to look for,,,,,,HELP PLEASE!!!



ps: hope to wind up with a 3500SRW LB 6. 7/68RFE wh00H00!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know, the 68RE CTDs are all 350 MP and the G56 models are all 325 HP. I have yet to hear of any 2008 differences in any part of the truck other than the tire pressure monitoring system. Since I'm considering a 2008 also, I'd be interested to know more. Dodge sure doesn't help since their website has still not been updated for the 2008 models.

6. 7 w/68RE was always 350... . as far as I know, the power remains unchanged from 07. 5 to 08...

..... thanks fellas..... thats what i was hoping!!!! i'm DEFINITELY going eith the 68rfe transmission,so i guess it'll depend on which truck i can get the best deal on... . the '07. 5 would have to be transported,taking a couple days,the'08 is on the lot..... so,we'll see!!!!... . i'm busy cleaning up my '01 so it looks real pretty now..... i simply can't wait to drive that new truck... . whichever model year it is... ... ... ... ... . tom

Also I have a stock 6. 7 with 68rfe and it dyno'd at 307 hp and 557tq turning 35" tires.....

The HP for the auto and stick are the same at 350HP. The tq is whats different. The 68RFE is 650tq where the G56 is 610tq. Jeff

He's correct... ... that's what was stated in my sales brochure.

Wh00H00... !!!! pickedup my "BigHorn" series 3500 SRW w/68RFE and 4. 10's

what a sweeet ride..... its blackpearlcoat with a lower band oflight khaki (both metallic paints) a nice combo..... light khaki interior... . dealer is gonna install the cab clearance lights for me..... '08 model... . tow group,tow hooks,power slider,door locks,and 1 yr. freee Sirius radio... ... $38. 8 out the door plus my old truck with bad transmission,and,transfer case not quite working properly..... i feel good... ... :-laf... dealer was happy too... ... "LIFE IS GOOD" (so far)... tom
