Archived 6.7 clacking sound-injector?

We have an 08 dodge that randomly makes a clacking sound,blows black smoke out of the tailpipe,and quits. Not same noise as injector sticking on 5. 9L... . Found water in tank and am suspecting damage to the injectors. Just not sure of the noise. Has anyone heard what a stuck injector sounds like on a 6. 7L?

water in the tank is usually voided by Chrysler and the whole system usually has to be replaced. Sounds like sticky injector(s) . Don't drive it

How did you find water in tank?

We drained the tank into a container so we could see the water & fuel separate.
