6.7 decompression on shutdown

6.7 guys,
Do the newer model 6.7's decompression on shutdown?
Guy in a 14 or 15 pulled into the hardware store next to me, when he shut it down it sounded like an old farm tractor instead of the cummins abrupt hault. Like you would imagine it sounded like if all the valves were held open.

Sounded like when you shut off a generator that has a heavy mass attached, the motor continued to rotate quite a few dozen times before petering to a stop.

Kind of new, but injector(s) may be leaking.
