6.7 extended warranty

Preparing myself for the dealership... hopefully taking delivery later this week.

does Dodge offer extended warranties on their trucks? (I've never bought a vehicle when was not offered)

Being that the 6. 7 / 68rfe is a new combination do you think its a good idea?

IMHO extended warranties are not worth the cost and its a way for them to make more money.

what experience have you guys had recently... opinions?

Do the 6. 7's have the 100,000 mile warranty? I remember mine had the 100k warranty and at 98650 miles my VP44 fuel pump went out and they replaced it for me.

5 Year, 100,000 mile warranty on the Cummins. 3 year/36,000 mile on the rest of the truck.

I agree with you on that.



However, if it's reasonable, I would go for it only because of the 'newness' of the trans. That, to me, is the only real unknown.



I would not be concerned at all about the Cummins.

That's kind of a lame warrenty for the transmission especially when you compare it to the warrenty on the cab and chassis Aisin

I purchased the extended warranty, but I got it for half price. Extended warranties are heavily marked up and are very negotiable. With all the electronics on these new trucks plus the new auto trans and a new engine, (new application to a truck). I think extended warranty is worth having.
