Had a first happen last night with this truck. A day after a 500 mi trip (unloaded) down through VA and back, I started the truck and it was loud and running very rough (it rattled and sounded just like an old-school diesel!) I pulled out on the road and she didn't want to go. Acted like there was a dead cylinder or two. Kept going straight to the dealer. Of couse, they did not have any diesel techs scheduled yesterday, and the service mgr. told me all of the problems with the 6. 7's are from the fuel!! :-laf
Anyway, I figured after I shut it down at the dealer, I would try to start it again. Ran as smooth as could be. I inquired about the TSB for my truck and again the service mgr. informed me that DC doesn't like the dealers to install new flashes unless the truck is dead in the water. So, after all of this useless knowledge I gained at the dealer, I got in my truck and left. Has been running great for almost 24 hours now.
Other than a brief MIL light that came on and went off all within 24 hours about a month ago, the truck has been flawless. Knock on wood.
Has anyone experienced this type of performance (or lack thereof) from their truck, or have any knowledge as to the cause?
Comments appreciated.
