6.7 needs PCM

Yesterday my 07.5 sputtered and died. Had it towed to dealer and after diagnosis said it is the PCM/ECM. Any ideas? Is a refurbished one be OK?

I found one for an amazingly cheap price from a seller on Alibaba that shipped from China. It was $227 shipped.. Not sure if they have more, but for that price I figured even if it was bad I could use as a core and keep the original as a spare.. my issue is a strange one where the truck is running fine, but the ECU is not keeping communication with the scan tool/OBD2 monitor. Ironically my now spare ECU that working OK, is doing the same thing for an unknown reason, next up I'm replacing the engine wiring harness. That thread here. Oh, forgot.. you asked if refurbished is OK.. I don't think you can find a NEW one for our 3rd Gen 07.5 to 09 6.7l trucks. It's the CM 2100 if I recall and not in production.

Ok, in my thread you can see the pictures of my ECU, it is the Cummins CM2100A and the part number is 5258003. Do an internet search for these, I also did a search are Alibaba and found the unit I got that way.
