6.7 runs and sounds like a 5.9

My 6. 7 which has 3000 mile on it is starting to run like it has a miss in one cylinder and has gotten louder just like my 2004. 5. No codes or cel has appeared so far. The engine also seems to be idleing lower than when new. The highest idle is 700 with an occassional dip to 450 while in gear. I know if I go to the dealer they will say "Found nothing wrong". The G30 flash was done at 1000 miles. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my 6. 7. It was after I had used some fuel additives. It went away by the next takn of fuel so I dont know if it was bad fuel or the additive or what but it went away. It sounded just like a 98. 5.

The newer flashes make it idle lower and what you described in that area is normal. If it feels like a miss all the time take it to the dealer and ask to them to do an injector kill test. The louder noise could just be a fuel knock. I have already seen a few 6. 7s with bad injectors, although it was caused by contaminated fuel. The new injectors are more well built than the CR 5. 9s
