6.7 Tow Truck Exhaust Question

Looks like I will be in the market for a 6. 7 3500 weekend tow truck. City Daily Driver



Thinking of trying to use a 5. 9 exhaust modified at turbo with a flex pipe, and have the bungs welded in the exhaust for the regen equipment. Has anybody attemped this yet?



Other mods: Edge Juice with Attitude, MP-8 with rail shim, DDP Injectors 80HP, EGR Block, AFE intake filter, ATS Intercooler, Fetch Catylist Can, CNG System or Propane, and Torque Converter



Any suggestions for the trans upgrades, and fuel system?

Leave the turbo, otherwise it will be a wiring nightmare... Do a DPF/EGR delete... The VGT can be just as reliable for towing, if you loose the DPF/EGR. . .

Havem't heard of any 68RFE mods yet, but I also don't really pay too much attention.

If you have a juice w/attitude you can clear codes on start up and just unplug the brown plug on the EGR. Do a search for EGR delete on the cummins and diesel truck resourse forums and it is full of this information.
