How far do you have to turn the valve on the bottom of the fuel filter to drain fuel from it? I opened it up quite a few turn and got nothing out. I continued to open it up until fuel started running out around the valve but was still not getting anthing out through the drain hose so I shut it. I'm wonderin if the valve is clogged or if I am just not opening it far enough.

:-laf they don't drain well. you mave to bump the key and let the pump help, just be prepared and have a drain pan in position.

Asphalt and diesel are first cousins if a pan is not handy. Just go to any major fuel stop and see. I usually drain mine while filling.

i had same problem. went back to dealer. they replaced filter and trap but still nothing drained. they contacted factory and found out nothing drains unless ther is water in trap. g lachner 07. 5 quad cab 4x4
