A new rumor from a friend of mine, who sells Ford trucks!! Possibly as soon as next year they might be putting ( get this now)a small 6 cylinder diesel in their F-150s,nothing like ours, (of course)
About a year ago there was a write up on the PowerStroke replacement (6. 0l or 6. 8l v8) and in the same article they mentioned a v6 turbo diesel for the 150's or explorer sized rigs. Good idea but I don't care for a v design in a diesel.
I also recall it being a V6. I wonder why not a 4B Cummins like the Superduty's get in South America instead of the Powerstroke. I supose a V6 would be quieter and higher reving like a gasser so the common folks will buy them. If I remember correctly, it'll be a Powerstroke with two less cylinders. Kinda' like Dodge does with the V6-V8-V10 engines using common parts with cylinders added or subtracted.
