Anybody done that?

I'm not sure if the control arms will get too much in a bind? or if the track bar will be too much at an angle? (or vice-versa :-laf )

I'm thinking just a 2" bigger block in the rear also.

It's a hair brained idea, but I've seen it done before, but the gentleman who did it, also built his own long arm conversion.

Just installed an 8 in spring with 6 in control arms on my 03'. I do not recomend it! My tires didn't run with the 6in but they do with the 8in cause it brought the axle in to the fender to far!

By run, I assume a typo and you meant rub?

So, you are saying that you can't lift the truck 8" in teh front becuase the control arms are too short.

I'm getting a revtek 6" lift, with 37"x12. 5" tires and I found a 2" spacer cheap. Just had visions of 8" of lift, WHOO. hehe.

I guess I allready bought 'em so it can't hurt to try 'em out...

give it a try. if it doesnt work call topgun customz and they can make you longer control arms or they even sell adjustable ones. definetly do it 8 " is so much cooler than 6".

you dont have to do the long arms they will make you longer regular arms or they have adjustable ones still in stock location. my friend had 8 inches with 38 toyos and their adjustable links. no problems whatsoever he beat his truck in the dunes also. had 2. 5" kings and it rode like a caddy.

:cool::cool::cool:

I'll probly pick up an adjustable track bar and the adjustable control arms.

Whoop! I'll let yall know how things work out.

I'm gettin' the 6" lift paid off soon, the spacers are "in the mail", I've got part numbers and cash on a few other parts, (Intake, exhaust, etc), but still no truck. LOL

P. S. 'Yall are the best!
