Just wanting to know if anyone has swapped a 6 sp out of a 04 to a 2 nd gen 99 with a five speed. I can get the trans and cross member. Do I need anything else out of the 04 to make this work? Want to make sure that my transfer case will bolt up to it before I spend the money for the trans. Oo.

As long as it's a NV5600 and not a G-56 it will bolt right up to the engine and transfer case but the driveshaft will have to be lengthened and shortened, etc

With my latest upgrades of injectors and the Edge comp. I have already noticed the clutch slip with the comp on level 2. So before I buy the 13" clutch upgrade to the 5 sp I am looking at putting the 6 sp and clutch all at once.

You don't need the crossmember, and FYI, the 04 crossmember doesn't work on a 99. Front driveshaft lenghtened, rear shortened, 13 inch clutch, and the flywheel redrilled for it. Or get the flywheel and starter from the 04.
