I'm sure the answer to this is somewhere in the archives, but I couldn't find it... .

What is the mopar part number for the NV5600 transmission fluid? The parts guy at my work told me that it was the same stuff that goes in the NV3500. This can't be true. TIA

It is the same as the NV3500. The same fluid is available as Penzoil Syncromesh, Shell MTX and Quaker State MTX. All the same fluid made by the same company and all unfortunatly not synthetic.

Gino

it is the same stuff as the nv3500... so you can go to mopar or GM for the fluid, or go pensoil, shell, or quakerstate for equals.

i went with mopar for mine. it was $0. 15cdn more per qt and was in stock, so i went with that.

MTL is not Gear lube! MTL is more along the line of 10w-30. Never put gear lube in a NV56000!!! The Redline MTL is a specific weight and only comes in that wieght.

What you need is Redline Manual Trans Fluid (MTL) 70w80.

Thats what it says on a bottle I have sitting right here.

Doug what are you talking about?

Redline comes in 2 weights and it is a Gear lube of a different type.

Redline

Go with the redline, it's the bomb. Don't pay attention to the wieght, it does not make sence. The wieghts are differant thatwe were all taught. But it does work well. Oo.
