Props to Jeremy, and thanks to PDR for hosting a great first Gen day! Stomps truck had to have a little "extra" achoring from Piers' Truck just to keep it from *outrunning* the rollers :--)
Well I finally got to a computer. Thanks guys I am still grinning from ear to ear. I would like to thank Piers and his crew for having the event. I had a great time just like the other times that I have been up. Piers you rock. No one else gives up his day off and his shop for us First Genners. I would also like to thank Pete, Piers&Mark for cooking up the Turkeys they were awesome.
I would also like to thank Bradley's Diesel Injection Service (Klamath Falls OR) for supplying the fuel and Brad@ Ponci's Diesel Center (Fortuna CA) for putting the air in/out of my motor. Without these guys I would probably only have 160hp/400tq at the flywheel. I also need to thank Brian B. for the KTA special head/rotor.
My numbers are actually 639. 7/1300+ on #2 and 680. 2/1440 on H20/meth. Last year at the First Gen day I was only 419hp on #2 and then 520hp with propane and water/meth. I guess 681hp is the new goal. I know that there is some more left in the old girl, but I think my clutch is about to give up the ghost so I might be taking my self out of the HP game for a bit until I decide what to do. I do have one more dyno day at the end of the month so we will see what happens.
C'mon Jim, you shouldn't be spreading the word so much. Gotta keep this hush-hush, so all the p-pumpers and over valvers go like this when a first gen with a little VE puts down big numbers! :-laf You don't need to be watching us, after all we just have small pumps, getrags, and square bodies.
Brad did a little tuning before I left. It really paid off. Not too bad for a 222,000 mile motor and a bottom turbo that had dust on it when we put it on.
I don’t think I will be catching Jim's p-pump anytime soon, but I did Smoke a p-pump that was in a First Gen up at Piers's though. I have been holding my own at most of the events that I have been to this year. Have quite a collection of trophies on top of my entertainment center.
Ok here is what you all have been waiting for. Red lines are #2 only and the blue ones are with water/meth. I have one of my diesel only run that I will try post later tonight and one of last months run.
