Well, as the title states, the new 600 will not move a skid loader. The catch here is that I backed into it. The skid loader (985) didn't move, but my bumper sure did... .

Da**it, I didn't even make it 6 weeks without a dent.

My most generous father-in-law was nice enough to drop his skid loader off at 11:30 at night. The problem was, he didn't tell me. And I backed out of the garage (at 4:30 am in the dark) and CRUNCH... .

Oh-well..... First one always hurts the worst... .

:-laf At least you did it and know who did it. That way its not as bad not knowing who did it. Are you happy now you got that out of your system? No more dings for a while.

ouch

Still hurts, but you are right, at least I did it.

And it definitly could have been worse. I could have hit the tailgate or something that showed more than the bumper.

There is a small dent in the box where the bumper pushed in, but it's a hidden spot once the bumper is pulled back out.

I guess I should have followed the theory of someone on here. The first day you get the truck, load the box with rocks and rip around for a little while. After all those dents, nothing will bother you.

:D

Nick Names

Seems like there are a million nicknames for the units. On the job site they all call it "the machine". Took me a bit to get use to that. Seemed a little too generic.

I did that to my Wheel Horse lawn tractor last year. Fortunately the truck I did it with I no longer own.

I found a pole with my rear bumper. About 24" diameter and I never saw it. I found a new bumper on ebay for 257. 00 and it looks great again. If you need the ebay info, pm me.

same-a-same... I think a skid loader may be more technically correct, since the machine can lift a load, and fill a dump truck, but it doesn't matter.

My dad worked in the construction industy (retired 25 years ago) and they called them a "Hi'Lo". I think of them as a "fork lift".

Hi-Lo's are different. Hi-Lo's are basically fork lifts for the outdoors. Usually, you'll see brick and block layers using them for loading scaffolding.

Hi-Lo

Well, I don't think it would have moved the Hi-Lo either...

I thought about pulling the bumper back myself, but I figured I would crease it. It needs to move out about 1 1/4 inches on the very end.

I figure a shop will do it for $100 or so. Think I'm dreaming?

my wife back into my mail box dented the rear door and then she pulled out scratching the whole side of the bed ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jam1on1,

Ouch! I feel for ya. You got the dent and the bonus scratch.

The first thing my wife said after I told her:

"Glad you did it, you would have killed me"

Of course, lovingly, I replied:

"Nah, I would have just said accidents happen"

This was a total line of ****, but it sounded good. :D
