So my buddy and I finally get to line them up tonight.

His:

3G, 600, short bed, 4x2, CC. , auto, and is bone STOCK

Mine:

2001. 5, short bed, 4x2, Ext. Cab, Comp Box(on 5x5), Full DTT with 91% TC, PE4200 pump. , HX35, and open element AFE. , stright pipe, and a few other goodies that add a little but not much. ;)

Results:

If he knew how to drive it we would have been even, if not ahead of me.

If he had an intake like the AFE then I would be scared ALMOST poop-less. :p

Also we filled up, drive 149 miles, filled up again and got the same milage. I know 149 miles is not a "true" indacator, but it's SOME WHAT of a compairsion. We both avaraged 21. x

These 600's are great trucks, smooth too!

:)

That sounds great, but is it because I have a 4X4 the reason I am only getting about half that? How many miles does he have on the 600? Thanks

mileage can vary considerably between the 2 wheel drives and the 4 wheel drives. I have heard of some people having as high as 22-23 mpg with 2 wheel drives and some reporting 14-15 with 4 wheel drives. It all depends on the set up and driving characteristics

As of right now he only has about 2,700. :)

We were taking it easy for the most part, untill after we checked our milage. ;)

After an intake and an exhaust his truck will be a milage king. I think a timming box would help also, I think a pressure box would just deduct from the milage, but we'll see. He does not want to spend the money to have to build up his transmission, and after having it done I can't blame him.

I beat my first 600 yesterday. ran good but not enough for my truck, and I know I am not as fast as some. personally I think it would take more than an air filter to have me worried. I am not sure about the not knowing how to drive it part, after all it is an auto correct? one thing for sure they have to catch up before they will beat us.
