THat is a 4x4 tractor, isn't it? It has been awhile since I was around tractors. Second, is that the GVWR of the trailer or empty trailer weight.

yes it is 4wd and that is the total weight of the trailer the trailer only weights around 1500 i would imagine it is a Hudson tag along

You have the nice size John Deere, I have spent time looking at the 4210 and 4310. That I maybe in the market for this next spring.

To your question, the John Deere website has a 6220L (close enoough?) the shipping weight is 7916 lbs.

I think that that tractor probably weighs around 7-8 tons if not more. A 2940 sized tractor or smaller is all that I would use that trailer for, IMHO. Were you planning to use your dodge to pull this? this is just my guess, i could be wrong though.

From the JD website for the 6220:

2WD

Unballasted operating weight - 9182lbs

Approx. ship weight - 8674lb, 9182lbs w/cab

MFWD

Unballasted operating weight - 9678lbs

Approx. ship weight - 9170lbs, 9678lbs w/cab

I pull my 4500 lb gooseneck with a my 9,600 lb AC 190 (14,100) with my 2500 with no problem... I definitely dont' go like a rocket ship, but man those Cummins can pull. That new a JD probably has a cab which might be a height problem.
