2008 Ram 4500 Chassis Cab is coming to 67,500 miles. Time for the cleaning.
I have seen that there are differences between what needs to be done between the CC and Pickups.

For the CC, is it just the CCV filter and EGR valve? I remember one time my main mechanic at the Dodge Dealership said on the CC's that the EGR Cooler doesn't need cleaning.

Can anyone verify if there are different procedures between the two? The Owners manual is not help, doesn't even mention the 67,500 service for EGR stuff.

Uggg ... I was hoping that, that would not be the case.

I just know something will go wrong cleaning that thing out and i'll need the truck towed to the shop to fix what i did wrong.
The CCV and Valve look simple enough ... the Cooler looks to be a complete nightmare of a job.

I can't comment on how hard it is either. Here in Kalyforrnya the first cleaning is on the manufacturer and I disabled it shortly after that and then deleted so it only has about 1k miles on it since cleaning. I figure I'll have to clean it in 20 or 30 years so I'll know then.

If you're dreading it you can just do the filter and valve and wait a bit on the cooler until you get more info on it.

Thanks XCC_Rider for the input. Here in New Hampshire there is no such freebie on the 1st cleaning within the warranty period. And since I have a 2008 with only 67, 010 miles on it, I am out of warranty already.
I would really love to remove all this junk and have it run like my old '97 12 valve (NH doesn't test for emissions on trucks) it would not be a big deal, but not sure what programmer to use and what other problems with the computer could occur.

I'll do the filter and the valve this weekend and look at the procedure for the cooler. Motor City Mechanic has good vids on Youtube.

My other problem is that since I don't have a garage, I am subject to the weather to do anything in the driveway. I'm always praying for sunny days on the weekend.
