Hi all, newbie here from the UK.
I have a 1985 360 gas D350 crewcab 8ft bed that i would like to put a 6BT 12v in.
Now, being in the uk and not this trucks homeland, parts and solid information on this project is proving hard to come by.
Any advice on this is appreciated massively. I *think* the truck has a Dana 60 rear end and the A727 trans? Does this sound right?
Can these be made to work with a BT?
Ive heard the splines are different on the trans?
If not, what am i gunna need? Unfortunately I cant just run to the nearest wreckers yard and pick bits up for rams of any gen.

Thanks.
Dean

I do believe that the upper and lower front "A" arms are weaker and will not support a 6BT. The last time I checked a full set of four heavy duty "A" arms cost close to $2000 US.

Frame is not as heavy on the gassers and the k frame is different. It can be made to work but it won't hold the TQ as well without boxing.

I never seen any diffrence on the frame thickness , while doing my 85 1 ton as when changing the the suspention over to 4 wd
I had the front section of cummins frame and there is no diffrence , maybe 1/2 ton
