6spd and automatic same dash.

I notice dodge use the same dash on the auto and 6spd. When the sunlight hit the dash i saw the automatic shift pattern P R N D 1 2 3 and the O/d off . I have the 6 spd.

same thing on my 5 speed manual on my 1500 ram. why make 2 dashes when one can do [and DC seems they sell more automatics than sticks]

Ok, let me add a semi useless observation . Why do we 6 speed guys have a "trans temp" warning lamp when it only works with an auto (according to my owners manual)? Or is mine the only one that comes on during the initial bulb check?

My "trans temp" warning light comes on also at startup. My feeling is they threw that in as a bonus to make up for the lack of a real oil press gauge.
