Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 6speed shifting

I put a SB ofe clutch in about a 8 months ago and now there is a leak between the transmission and motor and it sometimes i have to go into 3rd before i can get it into 1st or 2nd. It is engine oil leaking i'm guessing the rear main seal?? Also I was getting on the truck pretty hard up a steep hill from a take off and smoked the clutch pretty bad. It hasn't slipped since does anybody have an idea of what all could be my problem before i take it to get fixed. Thanks

probably your rear main thats also why your clutch smoked i am guessing. your signature doesnt say anything about how much power you have so i am assuming you are within limits of the ofe. i have a comp on mine and 275 injectors i took off at 2500 in second and dumped it and it didnt slip the cllutch they are pretty stout so it sound like the oil has coated your clutch. hopefully someone else will chime in.

Sounds like a rear main to me. They are not difficult to replace but the trans, clutch and flywheel have to come out. If your clutch got oiled it may already be ruined.
