After my truck has sat for a period of time (overnight or while at work all day) the first time I shift into 6th gear, I expereince a grind. I do NOT get the grind after the first time.

This started following a fuild change using Pennzoil Synchromesh oil. I've double checked the fluid level, including parking the truck on a side slope in order to get all 4. 75 guarts of oil into the transmission.

The previous fill was Mopar fluid (purchased from the dealer $$$) and I had no such problem.

The truck is a 2001. 5 with 112,000 miles of which only about 10,000 are towing miles (about 7000 lbs).

Is this a problem (clutch or other mechanical issue) that is appearing as a coincidence just after a fluid change or is there a problem with this oil?

Put the Mopar oil back in or use Redline MTL or Amsoil. I wouldn't be too concerned about it if it only does it once in awhile.
