I have a super clean 1ton 72 chevy pu 4x4 how tuff a job to install 12v and will the chevy front and rear drive hold up to stock power with auto trans. Thanks in advance BIGNASTY

I dunno. . but IF you want to sell it to me, I am in the process of aquiring a 12v... I'll let you know how it (the transplant) goes!!. . hahahaha. .

I have spent the last 8-10 months looking for a 67-72 Chevy to drop a 12v into... but no such luck. They are either scrap iron or they want 10K for them. .

I have resorted to using a mid 70's F150 LWB... It was free. .

Everything with mine is holding up fine. I have between 5-6K on since the conversion. The clearance areas that were tight are the stock brake master cylinder with the intake horn on the 12V and the heater core box with the turbo.

Thanks

I have been away from house for awhile. Thanks for info I have found info from another source and have motor mounts and trans crossmembers for conversion. Wingate as far as buying mine FAT CHANCE (ha ha) but if your looking So Calif is not a bad place to start no rust most are clean. Got mine form an old farmer in Santa Maria it was in a barn covered with about a foot thick of dirt and chicken I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER. The old guy pulled the tarp off connected the battery and turned the key and away we went. He said it's been all the way to MI and back. took me about 2 gal. of simple green to get rid of the C S smell but looks great. I have found a 12 V from a truck parts supplier that when I was employed the company bought parts from. A reman form Cummins with warranty. Looking for auto trans (for the wife) dont know what one will fit and would be the best any ideas would be nice BIGNASTY
