'72 VW Beetle NOS parts...

A local mechanic's shop, (VW and import) has approximately $40K in NOS parts. He is a wealth of info and a "Bug Guru from back in the day. " What kind of parts should I pick-up, inquire about. I have a '72 Super Beetle I've been driving 20-years:-laf, and plan to keep her on the road. Thanks in advance for any input, and ideas:-{}

Hey Patrick good to see another Bug Nut on here basicly look your's over and see what you might need also not sure if you know about this site but check out

thesamba.com its nothing but Vw and Nation wide . the bug in is coming up in may I should have mine on the strip shooting for low 11's or even better . we will see if we can get it to hook and fly this yr .

Nos huh Any early fuel injection? have a 1975 beetle convert setting in the garage that had dual webers, have some of the injection but may need some stuff. Is your 72 still stock?
