727 to 618 swap

looks like a good site, just not sure the vaccum numbers will line up on our diesel versus gas manifold vaccum

I spoke to this guy Don at the transmission shop and he said to use only the pressure switch and a toggle on the dash to cancel O/D. When the pressure switch reads 52 it shfts O/D. Kick down works like it would on the 727. If you have a non lockup 727 you have to use a non lockup 618.

If you have a non lockup 727 you have to use a non lockup 618.

All 727's were non-lockup and all 618's were lockup. Not sure what that is supposed to mean. You CAN replace the 727 with a 47RH but you have to do a little more work to get OD and Lockup to work correctly.
