Just Get-R-Done... :-laf

Choose your motor, complete the swap making sure you keep all original equipment (per whatever year motor you use) on the motor. Make an appointment at a DMV referee station. They will look at the motor ID plate or not, look at the vin or not, ask a few questions or not and you will be on your way... All experiences I've heard have been fairly easy! :D

I asked about this at the DMV and was "told" that the donor engine must be MY smog compliant. In other words, my 92 Brave must conform to MY 92 and above diesel smog specs. The question begs as to the degree the inspector wants to inspect engine tags.

sounds like I should do it now. now all i need is a dana 60 front end. and an eng. so on the eng witch one would you use 12 or 24 valve? thanks for the replys.

Personally I would go with the 12V... no electronic management systems. The biggest difference in intercooled 12 valvers is that the early ones came with axial displacement injection pumps good to about 350 - 500 horsepower or so depends on mods. In 94 they started putting the P7100 inline injection pumps in... . many have achieved well over 800 horsepower with this pump. Both are user tunable without electronics (all mechanical)... :D
