Off Roading 79 cj-5

Well I finally found one. I have been looking for a clean (77-82) Jeep CJ-5. I've always had 4x's but the memories of my old 77 has always made me wanting another one some day. I came across this 79 a few weeks ago and had to jump on buying it. It needs some minor work to put it totally back into the shape the way I want to see it. It has a built 360 in it and it will walk past the speedo #'s going into 3rd gear. It's the sunny day driver.



Here is a short clip my wife filmed yesterday. It was very fun making the counrty loop on the back roads.

It is real clean. I pulled the carpet and seats out to put new in and there was a little surface rust on the driver's fllor pan that I neutralized, coated and am going to do the whole floor and body insides with a newer do it your self liquid bedliner called Monsta-Liner in a silver/grey. I got a seat of seats for it also and a new carpet kit,slight color change. This thing is like it was stuck in a time warp. With the exception of the driver floor pan the body and frame all looks like new. The guy I bought it from owned it for the last 20 years and said it was kept in a garage, and it looks like it.
