18-014-01

18-014-01 is the one I had done. I beleive there are a couple different numbers out there that enable the high idle/3 cylinder operation. All I know is it works when all the requirements are met. One could assume that the newer the TSB the better, but I do say ASSUME.

I think you'll be ok with this flash. I did not notice any problems with the truck after. Another option is to get the High Idler from Practical Solutions, I have this as well. The only draw back to this is that it sets a computer code do to the higher RPM at idle. Again not a performance draw back but it allows you to set your RPM at idle to pretty much what you want as they are adjustable 2 ways.

Hope this helped.

I had the high idle done last winter and it works as described. It wasnt cold enough for the 3 cylinder thing to kick in. My MPG has not changed over the life of the truck. 16-17. 5 empty, the cold idle thingy had no effect at all on mileage.
