8.1 exhaust manifold on 5.9 motor

I heard you can use the 3 piece exhaust manifold from a 8. 1 Cummins on a 5. 9. Can anyone confirm?

The manifold is about 4 inches longer. And the turbo is mounted at different angle.

No but ATS makes a 3 piece manifold for both 12 and 24V applications. I like mine really well but I have no empirical data to back it up.

Wow! I thought I was the only one who was cross addicted (check my signature)! Is your D90 an NAS truck with a transplant, or an imported TDI? I've been toying around with the idea of the TDI swap since I got my truck back in '94, but haven't been able to justify the cost.

My addiction knows no bounds. I converted mine a little over a year ago and it's been great. The 300Tdi is a far cry from a Cummins but it's what SHOULD be in the d90 not a V8. The cost is hard to justify but at least I just had to buy the parts. It's pretty popular among my friends, I personally know of and have helped install 5 300Tdis other than my own. We ought to talk about it on general diesel topics or something.
