I'm not sure if they would but I would be curiouse why you wouldnt stick with a big old eaton and make the truck take that.

I see a lot of med duty trucks that have the 8. 3 w/6 spd. combo. How much larger is that 6 speed over the NV5600?What are the finals in each gear? I too have ideas.....
 
The 6 speed you are thinking of are probably as follows:



Eaton/Fuller:



FS5406A (MM7) Synchro-6 6-speed or (MM8) high-torque capacity version of

MM7



7FSO-8406A (M69) Synchro-6 6-speed, high-torque capacity version of MM8



These are the designations for the 2 most commonly used medium duty 6 speeds, i dont have the size or ratios, but i thought the designations might help

I know all the trucks at work run 3. 90;1 and 10spds and that is really to high for the dump trucks. My Western has 4. 38:1's and they're great. of course the KW's they're running are only 435hp.
