Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 8.3 Turbo Exhaust Housing

A friend just bought a new-in-the-box wastegated turbo exhaust housing for a 2002 8. 3L. What would he need in order to use it with the guts from his HX35 or can he do that?

well most 8. 3's have hx 40's i thought. The only thing that is the same between the 35 and the 40 are the shaft and center section.
