8.3 v 5.9 question ?

Have a friend that is looking at a 8. 3 and wants to put it in a cheby duelly. What is the differance between the two?Are they both b series,same size as 5. 9. thanks

The 8. 3 is a bigger block, and a few hundred pounds heavier.

8. 3 is a C-series. It is quite a bit bigger, 500 inches.

It could be done, quite a while back there was a guy posting on here about a 8. 3/F350 conversion he was doing(pics and all), but it was a heck of a project, a lot more than adding a 5. 9.
