8.4 A & AN Software Update not loading

I have two FCA vehicles. Listed below & a Jeep GC ECO Diesel. Both '15s. Both had previous updates.
I'm wanting to update maps. I know, I know there's better maps out there.
I've gone to the FCA (Uconnect) site & downloaded the new update to a USB flash drive.
The vehicle will recognize the flash drive when inserted into the USB port but will NOT prompt me to start update on the 8.4 AN screen.
BOTH vehicles are tuned & deleted.
I've called Uconnect & talked to a "tech"(LOL). Absolutely no help @ all.
They say take to dealer.
Called my dealer. (A good one) They have to access the OBD port to upload the update.
They can't guarantee not altering my tune. I know, I know MY problem for being tuned.
I'm just wondering if anyone has been through this and what my options are.
I did a search and found nothing current.

I assume you tried another USB drive? If not, try another one. Be sure to format it first. I've had USB drives cause it. Using another one solved it.

And it must be totally empty, no folders, no bloatware, no nothing on it.

From what i remember I even had to take the stuff out of the downloaded folder and copy all files onto the stick - without that folder.

And if the down load is zipped(xxx.zip), you have to extract the files on your computer first.
