8.4 radio problems update?

It appears the dreaded 8.4 radio issues got me this morning. Drove to town, all was fine with radio and answered a phone call. Stop truck, get back in and start up and the all the sat. radio, nav, media, etc. are gone. Only thing left is 'climate' and 'controls'! Thankfully, the heat seems to be working ok. Of course, it always happens at the most inopportune moment, since I leave Tues. a.m. for a long trip to Montana. Anyway, did a search on the problems with the radio and seems likely the dealer will replace the whole unit. Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience lately and what the remedy was? Fortunately, it's still under warranty, just the inconvenience of having to deal with it.

Mine failed, can't remember the exact presentation, but they replaced the whole unit. With a refurb, you won't get a brand new one on a warranty repair.

Try disconnecting the batteries first. It could be locked up.

Push and hold the Volume and Tune knobs until it reboots. That cleared up and issue I had a couple years ago.
