Has anyone tried or figured a way to add to or change the "canned" text message responses? I refuse to pay UConnect for the VR feature but use a few of the built in responses when I need a fast reply to a text. (YES I do pull over before playing with the touch screen).
Seems like there should be a way.

If you have an iPhone and have the update made available on the uconnect website last year, you can bypass the uconnect and let Siri compose any text you want. Hold the Voice Command button for at least one second and Siri should wake on your phone and you can say "message Gary" and then dictate your message. If you do a quick click on the button you'll get the uconnect assistant, but if you hold the button for a second or two it'll bypass and wake up Siri on your phone.

I don't know how the interface works with Google Assitant on Android devices but would imagine it's similar.

Well, I tried the "Hold the Voice Command button for at least one second" with my S7 and it didn't do anything except bring up the uConnect menu prompt. If I held it longer it canceled. Thanks anyway.

Do you have "Google Now" activated on your phone? I think that update came out last summer or spring on the Uconnect website. I haven't had any experience with Andorid as far as Uconnect interaction, but I figured if FCA sent out a Siri update for Uconnect, it would be the same for Google Now. It's not that big of an update either. It's mainly a pass-through to wake and talk to Siri through the radio. Maybe they didn't do that for Android which would be dumb.
