Anyone know if Dodge had a 100mph, or more, cable driven speedometer for the 85-89 trucks??? My 78 has a 100mph, but the speedo head is an integral part of the gauge cluster so swapping heads won't work as I have a spare 78 cluster. My 91 has a 100 or 120mph head but its not cable driven, its electrical. The original head in my 89 was metric so it was km/hr, and in small print the mph were there, and tough to see, but I believe it went pretty high. Its gone now, so I'm just trying to ask my 89 owners or old Dodge truck owners what they have before I start tearing through the junkyards. Since at wot in 4th gear, I bury the 85 mph head, I'd love to get my hands on a 100mph head or more :D ...

:-laf So then Bill, officially your truck is topped out at 85? :-laf

"Gee officer, I was only going 85!! Honest!"" :-laf

(Picture Bill in the back seat of the cruiser, cuffed, listening to officer Digby laughing histerically on the way to the jail house!!! :-laf :-laf )

Sorry Bill.....

Boy Bill, you aren't having much luck finding a speedo are you? I saw your question over at the offroad exchange.

In my 75 I used a autometer 5" speedo. I can't remeber what it goes too, but it uses a cable drive. I cut the factory dash and put a full line of auto meters in the stock dash. I would think the speedo would fit right in the factory dash.

There is a speedo shop in the Quad Cities. They made me a new cable because mine was junk. I bet somebody like that would be able to help you.
