Morph,
I'm glad to hear that you got your bike under you. That's a great feeling. I paid full market value for a low-mileage, cherry, 1992 VMax last November. I've been riding since I bought it and will soon have another grand into it for maintenance expected of a 15-year old bike. Sure I could have paid a lot less for a motorcycle, but I got what I wanted. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it and a big silly grin when it yanks me up the road.
My philosophy is - you won't regret paying more for something you like, but you will regret paying less for something you don't like.
Enjoy your machine and wear your riding gear.
Cheers,
Neil
