9-11-01 forum added to archives?

Admin-types,

Would there be a possibility of adding the 09-11 forums posts to the archives to allow for searches?

I'm looking for several pic files that don't seem to be accessable anyhere else.

All of the 9-11 related messages were moved into the other forum when the forum was erased, so none of the messages were lost. Do your search in the other forum and you should be able to find it. You can do 3 characters searches now as well as wildcards.



The avatars won't be returning, it was discovered that they were a huge waster of bandwidth and that's one of the higher costs of operating the website. It was decided that the avatars weren't that important as compared to other uses of the site. Another bandwidth user is signatures. I've done some work on allowing everyone to view signatures in the profile of a user. Right now it doesn't show up fully formatted but it's there - I'm working on showing it fully formatted, it's just down the list a bit. This way you can see what a person has by looking at their profile but don't have to see all the signatures to get it.



BTW, we are still running on just one of our two servers and it's not even breaking a sweat, when we get the other one online we'll have plenty of room for growth. We're finally over the hump on "THE BIG MOVE" and sure looks like we're finally stable - it's been up non stop for over 10 days without down time .

As far as the avatars go.

Could they be used if they are hosted on our personal webspace instead of using the TDR servers?
