9/16" wheel studs?

Hey has anybody changed out the factory 1/2" wheel studs on their 1st gen to some 9/16" units?? Part numbers would be greatly appreciated. thanks PHil

Can't remember if they are both the same or not. I think the knurl diam. might have been different which may be why I went to two different places..... or I might have bought 16 from one place then found out they were cheaper at the other. Either way I thought they were manufactured by the same company. I like that I can use the 2nd gen wheels, nuts and caps. The first gen wheels will still fit the studs too (with 9/16 nuts of course).

Has anyone done this on a Dually? Is it even possible on a dually? Is the stock size of a Dually wheel stud 5/8"?

The stock dually studs are 5/8". I replace mine every time I replace the rear drums.



If you have ever had a stud spin in a drum/hub before it is a pain to get the wheel off. If your along the side of the road with a flat. Your in deep trouble.

I was told by dodge that they no longer carry them. Are those other number still current?
