Any Deals on Jordan Controller????

Can you finance an equip. trailer?

I was at the local rv place buying a new trailer light plug because my old one was corroded. I was getting a 7 pin with round pins. No problem. They had those, but almost grabbed the wrong one. They had 2 diffrent styles of 9 pin plugs. Each setup like the 2 diffrent 7 pin plugs, one with round pins, and one with blades. What are the 2 other wires in the 9 pin plug for, and where would i find one. Just incase i might run across one. I know the 7 has L turn, R turn, running, ground, brake, 12V, and aux (reverse).

I have flat 4, round 4, round 6 and both round 7's on my truck as it is.

9 pin connector

I believe what your looking at is the commercial tractor/trailer style connector which has separate turn and brake lights and sometimes 2 pins are used for marker lights.

I believe the nine pin RV plug is to accomodate some of the high end Dometic Refrigerators that run on 12 volts when the engine is running and switch to gas when you shut down. Essentially, they are a sensing circuit.

With the advent of anti lock brakes and reote ontrolled reffer units some of the big rigs are going to 13 pin connectors. We just took delivery of a new dump truck that has two trailer connectors on it. The black one for regular trailers and a yellow one for trailers with anti lock brakes.
