Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 9 psi idle, 7 at cruise, only 5 psi at WOT

Truck has only 11k miles, going on long trip next week, have latest spare pump & tools on truck. Should I change it now?

All pressure readings post (clean) filter

I think I would install the new pump now and use the old one as your spare. We are into the hottest part of the summer and you need the extra fuel flowing through the VP44 to keep it cool. If you change it now you will have peace of mind during your trip.
