Has anyone played around with removing the Louvre in the bottom 90 degree elbow in the stock set up? Our flow bench is on the fritz, so I can't compare with and without. . It looks like it is there to reduce vortexing into the turbo...

If your talking about the restriction I have remove many.

No, I'm referring to the yellow plastic set of louver's that fit in the lower elbow. It looks like the engineers were trying to straighten the air flow, or perhaps reduce swrilling... Not sure if taking it out will help or hinder.

Yes, we remove the louver to install the Turbo Air Guide III. The TAG-III does more to direct the air into the turbo after the bend and works very well with the louver removed. If you are not installing a TAG-III you should probably leave the louver in place. It is obviously there to help get the intake air to make the bend just before the turbo.

I thought I read on one of these forums that all TAG's were out of production?
