I just installed a 1. 250" rear sway bar on my rig. Man what a difference. It now feels like an empty pickup while driving. No sway whatsoever. Check out my website and you'll see mine is a bit topheavy. I found a used front bar off a class A motorhome and made up my own attachments. If you have no sway bar now, you will notice a huge difference with one.

I vote for a sway bar as it's intended purpose is to prevent rocking from side to side and shocks are suppose to limit the up and down bounce. This doesn't mean that the 9000's on the rear wouldn't help.

drivers mopars The Rancho 9000's made a big difference for up and down, and side to side movement, over the factory shocks. I didn't feel good about leaving it that way because of what the truck was going to be put through. One thing I did to the truck in addition to the shocks was pull the factory overloads out,and replaced them with a 4 spring stack on top of the main spring pack. Unloaded the truck maintains the factory ride. The way the truck is set up now, loaded it rides as firm and as stable as my wife's 1500 4x4. My Lance's weight is just about 3500 lbs. We just finished driving from Alaska to South Carolina, with the camper and towing a trailer. The truck worked great. I keep the Ranchos set at 3 in the rear and 2 in the front when loaded. I sold the airbag set I had left over from a Ford I had because they we're a pain in the butt. I decided to do this truck right. I think the airbags are a cure for doing something half way. The springs cost $75 more to do but they won't leak.
